LGBTQ+ Pride Month
Each June, AC Transit honors and celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
Did you know that Pride Month began as the Stonewall Riots, a series of protests by the LGBTQ+ community against police raids of the Stonewall Inn in New York City in June 1969? These demonstrations marked a pivotal turning point in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and ultimately led to annual Pride marches to commemorate the struggle for equality. Today, June is designated as Pride Month, celebrating the history, achievements, and continued efforts of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities worldwide.

Fremont Pride Fair

The City of Fremont Human Relations Commission and the Fremont Main Library are hosting a Pride event featuring Drag Storytime, Square Dancing, a Youth Panel Discussion, and Drag Bingo.
