December 2024 Employees of the Month
It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to keep AC Transit buses on the road and running smoothly. Each month, the District honors the service of those drivers and mechanics who contribute directly to this effort by awarding “Employee of the Month” honors from our Supervision, Maintenance and Transportation divisions. Our candidates are nominated by supervisors at our Central Maintenance Facility and at each of AC Transit’s four bus divisions in Emeryville, Richmond, East Oakland and Hayward. Winners from each division and one from the Central Maintenance Facility are selected by the Superintendent of the division. Each winner receives a gift certificate to a local restaurant.
We are pleased to announce the “Employee of the Month” winners for December 2024.
SUPERVISION/CENTRAL MAINTENANCE FACILITY
Timberlin G.
Transportation Supervisor
Timberlin has exuded great leadership in her role as an Operations Control Center Controller. She has gone above and beyond her duties to assist peers, provide operators excellent customer service, and improve her craft using the detour module. Controller Timberlin is an undeniable asset to the department.
Robert K.
Journey Level Mechanic
Robert always gives his all when repairing buses at CMF Revenue Shop. He is always willing to learn new tasks and help his coworkers. Recently, Robert completed the District's Heavy-Duty Coach Mechanic Apprenticeship Program and is now a state-certified Journey-Level Mechanic. Thank you for your positivity and willingness to learn and perform at high standards.

Ja'Var has consistently played a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service at Division 2. He is always dependable in completing his assigned tasks and readily assists his team whenever needed. Ja'Var takes great pride in every coach he services, and we are proud to have him on our team.

Tina is a reliable employee, who is professional and courteous to passengers and co-workers. Tina always has a beautiful smile and a pleasant work demeanor.
Carlos C.
Apprentice Mechanic
Carlos is a true team player who consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn. He has quickly adapted to our fleet maintenance program and continues to expand his mechanical knowledge with each task. He is currently a Level 4 Apprentice Mechanic, but Carlos has demonstrated his ability to tackle even more complex technical issues. Thank you for all you do every day!!
