February Employees of the Month
It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to keep AC Transit buses on the road and running smoothly. Each month, the District honors the service of those drivers and mechanics who contribute directly to this effort by awarding “Employee of the Month” honors from our Supervision, Maintenance and Transportation divisions. Our candidates are nominated by supervisors at our Central Maintenance Facility and at each of AC Transit’s four bus divisions in Emeryville, Richmond, East Oakland and Hayward. Winners from each division and one from the Central Maintenance Facility are selected by the Superintendent of the division. Each winner receives a gift certificate to a local restaurant.
We are pleased to announce the “Employee of the Month” winners for February 2025.
SUPERVISION/CENTRAL MAINTENANCE FACILITY
Soloman F.
Transportation Supervisor
Soloman has an excellent work ethic and attitude. He never fails to go above and beyond his work duties and voluntarily assists with other tasks when needed. He recently displayed exceptional skills by observing and preventing a potentially detrimental safety hazard to the District.
John S.
Journey Level Mechanic
John is recognized for his outstanding attitude and ambition in the Unit Room. He is dedicated to building high-quality components in a timely manner. He takes instructions and applies them effectively. John shows dedication and a positive attitude toward learning new things. He is a great person to work with. John, we all thank you for a job well done.
EMERYVILLE DIVISION
Lakisha H.
Bus Operator
Operator Lakisha demonstrates a positive attitude towards work responsibilities and co-workers. She has a calm demeanor and takes her work very seriously. The D2 Team is fortunate to have her as a valued member.

Journey Level Mechanic
Jairo has been doing an outstanding job at Division 2. He has shown a great work ethic and never shies away from complicated tasks. He is a major player in the upkeep of the ZEB fleet and has recently taken on more leadership assignments as a backup lead. Thank you for your daily efforts!

Keith takes great pride in transporting passengers safely to their destination and providing great customer service. He maintains a professional and approachable demeanor, along with a never-ending smile for passengers and co-workers.

Matt is a valuable asset and an exemplary employee for the Division. He consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and maintains a positive attitude. Matt is consistently among the first to volunteer whenever help is needed. Recently, during staffing challenges at Fuel Island, Matt stepped in without hesitation to assist with parking coaches. EAST OAKLAND DIVISION

Willie is an at asset to the Division 4 Team as a role model, mentor and leader. His cool demeanor often ensures unpredictable situations and interactions remain professional.
