The current Transit-Supportive Design Guidelines (TSDG) effort is an update to the 2018 Multimodal Corridor Guidelines document which provided design recommendations for bicycle facilities at bus stops. The TSDG includes updates to address design that improves fixed-route bus operations, paratransit operations, and the rider experience.

This document is intended to serve as AC Transit’s latest official resource detailing what elements are required for buses and paratransit vehicles to operate safely, important considerations to keep in mind to be supportive of transit, and how and when our jurisdiction partners should be coordinating with AC Transit staff as they’re designing projects on their streets where buses and paratransit operate
