What AC Transit benefit have you used: My medical benefits, along with our dental are great. Every time I go to the dentist or the hospital, they always say that my co pay is nothing and ask where I work. We have great coverage and the benefits have been a blessing. My kids were born under AC Transit medical. My daughter just got braces, and they’re so expensive but our coverage is great so it helped a lot.

What is the best part of your job: I love this job because it has a lot of flexibility. Every six months, if you don’t like your schedule, you can alternate your shift.

What is the best part of your job: Working with my coworkers. Coming to work is like our second home. We spend most of our time at these jobs, so we make the best of it. I have multiple cousins who are drivers, I have a great niece who is a driver, I have a great cousin who is a service employee, and I have a son who is soon to be a service employee.

What AC Transit benefit have you used: I personally think AC Transit offers really good benefits. There were a lot of times where I got the chance to work with private sector companies, but I chose to stay because of our pension and our benefits. I use our flexible spending account a lot for massage therapies and chiropractors, and the flex spending helps me save money on that.

What is the best part of your job:  I’m not at a desk. I’m in a mobile workplace. I get to see different things along my route. It’s always entertaining. And the job security. During the pandemic, it was business as usual for us. We never stopped working and there was never any change in that.

What AC Transit benefit have you used: I used AC Transit’s Tuition Reimbursement. I received a certification from the national wellness institute for certified workplace wellness professional. I used the tuition reimbursement to pay for that certificate.
