AC Transit Flex
Flexibly routed bus service combining parts of traditional bus service with on-demand ride hailing, which operated in Castro Valley and Newark/Fremont pre-pandemic.
Macdonald Ave and Cutting Blvd Transit Improvement Project
This project will improve AC Transit service along Macdonald Avenue between Richmond Parkway and San Pablo Avenue and along Cutting Boulevard between I-580 and El Cerrito del Norte BART Station. The project includes signal upgrades, bus stop relocations for improved pedestrian safety, curb extensions for bus stops to improve service reliability, sidewalk repairs, repainting faded curbs, and bus shelter installation for enhanced rider comfort.
Rapid Corridors Project
Improving bus speeds and reliability, the safety and accessibility of bus stops, and traffic signal flow on Telegraph (Line 6), San Pablo (Lines 72/72M/72R), and Grand/West Grand (Lines 12/NL)
Line 60 Pilot
Pilot service extending Line 60 to South Hayward BART, 7 days a week, along Hesperian Blvd and Tennyson Rd.
Mission Blvd Transit Signal Project
Improvements to the signal systems technology at select intersections along the Mission Boulevard and Decoto Road corridors.
Bus Stop Guidelines
AC Transit Board Policy 501: Bus Stop Guidelines, sets forth AC Transit’s guidelines for bus stop placement regarding spacing, location, and accessibility. Proposed policy updates aim to clarify bus stop policy elements to better align with the needs and preferences of AC Transit riders and to reflect the latest in best practices and customer needs.
